Heart Tugs.

Every note pulls at her heart
Tugging, caressing, painfully twisting in it's manipulative fingers
He taps on her shoulder with a needle
wipes her tears with sandpaper
But the music goes on
Gliding over the keys,
Black white, black white
No gray. No mistakes.
Mesmerizingly beautiful yet hauntingly captivating
A melody of what was, had been, and never would be again
the emotion oscillating between memory and reminisce; a flirtation with pain
Showing her what she could never have
But never letting go
